Brilliant Leader
The Experiential Learning Centre is pleased to announce the pending launch of Brilliant Leader and our associated experiential workshop, Brilliant Leadership. The book, Brilliant Leader, is written by Simon Cooper who has over twenty five years experience of leading and developing high performing teams and is published by Prentice-Hall, a member of the Pearson Education Group. It addresses all aspects of leadership and people management in ten concise but action packed chapters. Brilliant Leader sets new standards in how to build, develop and lead high performing teams. In support of Brilliant Leader, our leadership development workshop (formerly called Managing and Leading Teams) has now been branded as Brilliant Leadership. This experiential programme offers a powerful, high impact and cost effective leadership development solution for organisations worldwide. Each four day Brilliant Leadership event is based around a series of expertly designed simulations, activities and exercises, supported by high quality facilitation and coaching interventions. During the event delegates will be taken through Tuckman's four stages of team development - forming, storming, norming and performing. They will also benefit from Luft and Ingram's Johari Window by having opportunities to increase their open area and reduce their blindspot. And in terms of specific learning outcomes they will explore leadership communication, interpersonal skills, behavioural styles, motivation techniques, coaching and staff development, driving performance, team building, managing workloads and effective delegation. In short, they will develop a complete leadership toolbox that can be instantly transferred back in the workplace. Among the most powerful features of the workshop is the opportunity for developing a support network and building a genuine leadership culture within the organisation. Unlike traditional training courses this programme thrives on larger group numbers. Each Brilliant Leadership workshop runs with between 12 and 40 delegates and delegates are not only encouraged to network throughout the event but also to set up an alumni support network to help reinforce their action plans and provide career support. When rolled out among an organisation's entire leadership team, it delivers a massive, positive impact on the culture of the organisation. Brilliant Leadership is suitable for current and potential leaders up to and including middle management level. We are also inviting partnership proposals from training organisations and managed learning providers who would be interested in licensing the programme as a high value, dual branded product both in the UK and worldwide. In short, Brilliant Leadership offers a powerful, high impact and cost effective leadership development solution. When viewed on a cost-per-delegate basis it is potentially the best value programme of its kind, worldwide. |
